When it comes to what you believe, stay true to yourself and ignore those who seek to overpower you.

Welcome back to Sunday Scripture – a weekly three-card card reading designed to help you future-proof your week, providing guidance and channelled insights to empower you to make better choices and decisions.

👑

This reading is for the week ahead, beginning October 5th, 2020. BUT, as with all readings, if you have been guided towards this page at ANOTHER TIME: trust that it is MEANT TO BE and applicable to your life now. This has always been true for me and I’m sure it will be for you too if you can just sit back and surrender to the he/she/it that guides the way. There is a bigger energy present in all of our lives: patient, ready, loving (albeit in a sometimes brutal way)… waiting for us to open up and let it in. The more you look: the more you learn to see. The more you listen: the more you start to be able to hear. Follow me on this journey and TOGETHER we will navigate the winding path that is the fool’s journey.

👑

As we move into the second week of October prepare for war: you might be called upon to defend your word. Anticipate the presence of haters and you will be better prepared. This, in turn, will ensure a better outcome further into the week when the Wheel of Fortune offers you an opportunity. Pick a side. Or don’t. But stand by your decision and let that alone be your guide.

This week’s reading comes from the Radiant Rider-Waite Tarot deck, published by U.S. Games Systems, INC., with artwork based on drawings by Pamela Coleman Smith. Check out their website if you like what you see and see or go to Amazon to get your own deck.

The cards drawn are:

  • The Seven of Wands
  • The Wheel of Fortune
  • The Queen of Pentacles

Watch the video below to get the full reading, then send me a message and share what it awoke or sparked in you.

Our card for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday is the Seven of Wands, depicting a man atop of a cliff backed right up against the edge. Feet straddling a stream, body and mind pitted against many other opposing individuals and their needs, desires and intentions: the card suggests a clashing of opinions and pressure to pick or change sides by those who are threatened by the stance you are choosing to take. Is your line of thinking around a certain subject slightly controversial or forward-thinking? Or are you daring to be different? This card suggests the answer is YES!!! Which is perfectly fine, and even admirable. But take time to really assess what you are choosing to believe in and make sure you are on the right side. Have your opinion, but know that having it might come with a cost and a fight. Don’t let yourself be swayed though. Just because the bullies speak the loudest and fight with the strongest fists, doesn’t mean they are to be trusted or believed. Often the quietest whisper is the voice that is the most true.

Our card for Thursday and Friday is the Wheel of Fortune and how this card plays out for you this week will depend greatly on how you responded on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to the things that stepped into your path. Make sure you are supporting the right side, make sure that that side is also your side, the side your intuition would pick, the side your higher self would choose, the side those who have passed and whom you love and respect would also select, and fortune will turn in your favour. Pick the wrong one… and who knows what course your life might take. If you’ve spent too much of your life being dictated to by others, and perhaps been derailed as a result, this is your chance to set that right and return to your true life path.

Our card for Saturday and Sunday is the Queen of Pentacles. This Queen has accumulated much wealth in her life and has a life which looks shiny and desirable to many from the outside. But what is the cost and how great is the sacrifice? What has she had to forgoe or give up? And was it worth it? If what you are sacrificing in order to have the life you have: is this sacrifice taking too much away; is it also taking too much of a toll; are you tired, weary, sick? Reassess what you are doing and why and either get right with it or get out. Life is about what’s behind the camera not in front and in order to have the life you want you need to be the director of it all.

One toe at a time. 🚿

Welcome back to Sunday Scripture – a weekly three-card card reading designed to help you future-proof your week, providing guidance and insights to empower you to make better choices and decisions.

This reading is for the week ahead, beginning September 28th, 2020. BUT, as with all readings, if you have been guided towards this page at ANOTHER TIME: trust that it is MEANT TO BE and applicable to your life now. This has always been true for me and I’m sure it will be for you too if you can just sit back and surrender to the he/she/it that guides the way. There is a bigger energy present in all of our lives: patient, ready, loving (albeit in a sometimes brutal way), waiting for us to open up and let it in. The more you look, the more you learn to see. The more you listen, the more you start to be able to hear. Follow me on this journey and together we will navigate the winding path that is the fool’s journey.

As we move into the final week of September and the first week of October, the focus is on our emotions and how we nurture and manage them. We are also guided to express gratitude for all that we have, unearthing and uncovering treasures perhaps hidden to ourselves. This, we are told, will set us on the right track to feel fully confident and strong, should any uninvited tussles arrive. But pay attention… after a calm week, perhaps an emotionally challenging weekend.

  • Temperance
  • The Nine of Cups
  • The Five of Wands
  • The Wheel of Fortune

Watch the video below to get the full reading, then send me a message and share what it awoke or sparked in you.

Our card for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday is Temperance and the first thing that comes to mind here are the words: temper your emotions. When I think of temperance, I think of temper and how we often let it get the better of us and lose control. How we let it overtake us and consume us. The message here is: you don’t want to cast a cloud over the start of the week by letting your emotions fly; you also don’t want someone else’s temper to rain all over you. In addition, this card is also advising you to spend time balancing and tempering your energy, releasing any trapped emotions, maybe some that you have been carrying for an overly long time, and assessing and strengthening your boundaries. Take this slowly, dipping one toe at a time into the water. Trust that the more you commit to this inner work and personal and ancestral healing, the more magnificent your life will be and the less people will try to psychically attack you. Be that which you wish to attract and in time your life will reflect this back.

Our card for Thursday and Friday is the Nine of Cups. Here we are being prompted to take a long hard look at our life and give gratitude and thanks for all that we have. And even if we might wish for a bigger house, better car, more money to buy more of the things we need; or freedom to travel the world as we please, visiting people, places and planetary treasures; or a better job, better health, better relationships, etc., we still have plenty we can feel thankful for. Make a list of what you feel blessed to have, to have experienced, to do, know, believe, etc. And work to add to it every day. Gratitude is like a garden: tend to it and flowers bloom, but neglect it and weeds grow.

Our card for Saturday and Sunday is the Five of Wands, which suggests a turbulent weekend. But this is also what the week has been preparing us for and we are ready for the challenge being presented. Anticipate conflict. Expect a jarring or clashing of opinion. Entertain the notion that voices will rise, tempers flare and emotions heighten. Do your best to stand your ground, speak your truth and stand up for what you believe in. Work hard to assert and protect your boundaries and you will suffer less at the hands fools. If you can hold your head up high, plant your feet squarely and send your roots deep into the earth, all the while picturing yourself as a tree, solid and unflappable, you will be well prepared. See this card is a test to your progress so far, how you respond to it a guide to where you still need to go when it comes to healing, growth and development.

And our bonus card, also for the weekend, is the Wheel of Fortune. This card suggest the power is ours and how we choose to respond to our week the maker of our fortune. If we have done the personal work and prepared, if we have chosen our battles wisely, then fortune is set to deal in our favour. But if we have squandered our week and played hookey from our responsibilities, if we have allowed ourselves to react, disconnect and get triggered, then the outcome might not be so kind. The Wheel of Fortune is a harbinger of change and allowing this can be difficult. But, whatever way the wheel spins and whatever direction your fortune unravels in, know that it is not permanent; for just as this came to pass, so too will other things. Nothing is constant, this is the only thing we can ever truly know.

Navigate these waters and there will be calmer times ahead. 🛶

Welcome back to Sunday Scripture – a weekly three-card card reading designed to help you future-proof your week, providing guidance and insights to empower you to make better choices and decisions.

This reading is for the week ahead, beginning September 21st, 2020. Follow me on this journey and, together, we will navigate the winding path that is the tarot.

As we move into the fourth week of September, the focus is on how we see ourselves and how that person dictates the decisions we make and what we do with our life. For how we respond to him or her affects everything, especially when it comes to creating wealth. Prepare for a journey of some kind and work out what painful truths you want to carry with you. Perhaps it is time to let them go.

  • The World
  • The King of Pentacles
  • The Six of Swords

Watch the video below to get the full reading, then send me a message and share what it awoke or sparked in you.

Our card for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday is The World. I see this card as a mirror and an invitation to stand before it and really look at who we are without the packaging we carefully wrap around us. When we strip off everything – fake, superficial, applied – and gaze upon ourselves without clothing, washing or makeup; without costume: what do we see, who are we, are we comfortable with that person or is he or she carrying a lot of unnecessary worry, guilt, regret, fear and pain? Can we then look into that same mirror and call upon our best self, our higher self, or our quantum or future self, and commune with him or her? What would they say given the chance? Imagine the advice would they give; what you can learn from them and then apply? This card is a gentle wake-up call, an invitation to really show up with all of our truths laid bare. Take ownership of your shadow. Embrace both your darkness as well as your light.

Our card for Thursday and Friday is The King of Pentacles. Now it’s time to get to work, looking out over the kingdom of your life and evaluating its worth. Where are you wealthy? What are your riches? And how could you grow and nurture more? Get creative, active and busy, grounding all of the introspection you did in the earlier part of the week. Apply the lessons you learned and till them into the soil.

Our card for Saturday and Sunday is The Six of Swords, which has a sad and nostalgic energy. Thanks to Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, though, we are prepared for this because it’s not necessarily a ‘this’ that we want to inhabit, accommodate, admit-to or endure. But endure we must, for, as with everything in life, we cannot take only the good and dismiss the bad. A journey is approaching – or perhaps you are already on it – and likely it is not, or will not, be one of your choosing or making. Perhaps it’s something you just have to commit to because… This journey will likely contain painful truths or necessitate the packing-up and transporting of the uncomfortable truths we already have and have carried with us thus far in order to relocate them. But you have a choice and this is important. What you choose to carry with you; who you choose to travel with, and how you see that journey are things you can affect. If the news is difficult; if the narrative isn’t one you’d welcome or invite: you can still repaint it. Not every disaster is a death sentence. Not every hiccup, setback or slight is as much of a misfortune as we might think. Reframe the journey that has been imposed upon you or embolden yourself to choose your own course, even if it ruffles a few feathers and rocks a fair few boats. Navigate these waters and there will be calmer times ahead.

Time to rise. 🤺

Sunday Scripture: to help you to future-proof your week.

This is your reading for the week beginning August 10th, 2020 – but as with all readings, if you have been guided towards this page at another time then trust that it is meant to be and applicable to your life now.

As we move into the second week of August, the focus is about standing up for what you believe in, picking a side and fighting for what you know to be right. This might mean loss and sacrifice – because, really, all change causes what is old and no longer serving us to fall away. But have faith, because what is being birthed in you and what is coming is worth the risk and sacrifice.

  • The Page of Swords
  • The Eight of Cups
  • Strength

Watch the video below to get the full reading, then send me a message and share what it awoke or sparked in you.

Our first card is the Page of Swords – new ideas, research, exploration and mental adventure. The beginning of the week – Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday – is all about the generation and formation of new paths and projects and the padding out and exploring of current beliefs. Who am I? What do I believe in? Which direction do I want to be moving in? The Page symbolises new things waking up and coming into balance inside and our desire to stand up and take action to move towards them. Acknowledge, though, that because you are moving in a new direction, there is a need for mentorship and advice. You likely do not have all of the information you need for this journey to hand and perhaps you lack experience and insight. Find leaders who have been there before, who understand how it is done and know what to do, and ask them to if they will lead, guide and help you. Perhaps take an online course and join a support circle? Maybe dive deep into a transformational book and start binge watching someone’s podcast or YouTube channel? It doesn’t need to cost the earth or involve an actual person sitting with you 1-2-1. That would be nice, but do what your circumstances and budget allow and let your intuition guide you. This card could also mean that something unwelcome is coming into your life which is going to need you to find inner reserves of strength. Maybe someone close to you needs you to use your voice to defend their cause? Or else you are going to have to stand up and fight to protect their life? See how the beginning of the week pans out, and then adjust your reading of the next two cards to suit.

The Eight of Cups – disappointment, sacrifice, loss, abandonment and turning away. The middle of the week looks trickier than the beginning and Thursday and Friday are likely to be a challenging time. The Eight of Cups depicts a man turning away from everything he once held dear in order to embrace a different way of life. Perhaps what you do at the beginning of the week means alliances shift and friendships are challenged? Maybe an intimate relationship or your job is put to the test or even lost? These are polarising times and any time a person makes a change and tries to shift focus or direction their circle invariably alters. Even something as simple as turning vegan or giving up alcohol can alienate you from your group. People prefer it when we stay who we are so that they can know us more simply and also so they don’t have to look too closely at themselves if they are happy with how things are. Be brave, be strong, and stay true to your heart. The way of the heart, although painful, is the way that ultimately serves us best. If this eight proves painful for you, know that this is part of your hero’s journey and that this too will pass. No matter how high the cost of this card and this week, there will be transformation and healing and better times. Sometimes losing everything is a kind of freedom, releasing us so that we can get back on our rightful path.

Strength – inner power, strong emotions, resilience, the divine feminine awakening. Saturday and Sunday deliver you connection to a strength you didn’t know you had (and perhaps didn’t want to know you would ever need) and from this a bond with triad of the inner feminine. Your soft, squishy inner child is melding with your fiercely protective inner mother and stoic, wise grandmother and as they meld, you connect too to your original animal power, the first seed of your nature. Let this occur. From it a Phoenix will rise. You are stronger than you think you are. You are capable of surviving anything, and that includes everything that is happening to you right now and that which has come before. Welcome this magical bonding of archetypes and watch as miracles occur. If this was a difficult week, things are shifting one way or another now. Hang on in there, try not to lash out or be too harsh, either on yourself or others. It’s been quite a ride and may continue to be so for a while.

Sunday Scripture: to help you to future-proof your week.

This week’s reading comes from the Radiant Rider-Waite Tarot deck, published by U.S. Games Systems, INC., with artwork based on drawings by Pamela Coleman Smith and the Ask and It Is Given cards by Esther and Jerry Hicks, published by Hay House Publishing. Check out their individual websites to find out more if you like what you hear, and see or go to Amazon to get your own deck.

As we move into August, the focus is about celebrating what you have achieved thus far and channeling that energy in order to create and plan for more of it, along with looking out for energetic vampires in your life and thinking before you speak.

The cards drawn are:

  • The Nine of Cups
  • The Seven of Swords
  • The Knight of Swords

Watch the video below to find out what it’s message is. Then send me a message and share what it awoke or sparked in you.

The Nine of Cups is our card for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It reminds us that we have accomplished many things over the course of this year, both big and small, all valid and worthy. And it bids us sit back and give thanks and appreciation for this. Perhaps you took up yoga, learnt meditation, started a daily self-love practice, turned vegan, gave up processed foods, started juicing, built muscle, lost fat, got rid of chemical products, began researching or studying a new subject, stood up for something you believed in, formed a support group, held a friend through a crisis, shifted focus in your career, etc. Whatever it is and how many there are, take time to pat yourself on the back. Note how you followed your intuition, acted from your heart and lived by your truth, all the while remaining humble and grounded. This is how we create a display cabinet full of many cups, and a life full of merit.

The Seven of Swords is our card for Thursday and Friday and it shows a man stealing from another’s camp. It warns us that either someone else is going to come into our home and try to take something from us – maybe only connecting in order to ask a favour or get some advice – or we are going to be tempted or called upon to do that to someone else. Be on the look-out for energy vampires both big and small and maybe lean into a bit of energy vampire scaldaggery yourself in order to get your needs met.

The Knight of Swords is our card for the weekend and it shows us a knight charging into battle. He is moving fast and travelling through inclement weather, hell-bent on his holy grail. Perhaps you are going to feel compelled to stand up for something you believe in that might not go down so well with everyone in your life? Or maybe someone is going to come at you with their own specific truth? Either way, what is being communicated might not be palatable for everyone. If it’s you doing the preaching, make sure you are truly aligned with what you are communicating and prepared for what might come back. And if it is something that is coming at you, just be mindful that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and you don’t have to take it personally. One person’s truth could be another person’s lie. Stay grounded and centred and don’t rush in. What we say in haste we often regret.

How can I attract more clients and grow my business? 🌳

In any business clients are key, because without people searching you out who are prepared to pay for what you are offering, you are really just an uninhabited house full of useful things, a tv playing to an empty room.

Clients are eyes on the page, subscribers to your channel, people following and liking you. They are influencers who share, recommend and widen your reach. Depending on your field, they are like children seeking toys, companions, parents and cures… or adults sourcing solutions, tools and mentorship. Clients need to be celebrated, rewarded, honoured and appreciated for what they are, because they are not just a means to an income, but a family and a life tribe.

Finding your tribe, building your community, therefore, is the secret to success. But how do we get there if we are stuck on that journey? What is blocking us from building the business and the life we desire?

The King of Cups shows where you are right now, which is deep in your heart. You have desire, passion, a goal and dream… but you are led by your emotions. This has got you a certain amount of the way – you know what you want, you care deeply about what you are trying to create – but beyond that you are stuck. You keep implementing the same strategies, carrying out the same tasks, but nothing is really growing. By focusing on what lights you up and brings you joy alone, you are neglecting the other components necessary to make a business function. Or maybe you are being carried away by what is in your heart and therefore not seeing things clearly. There is a lack of balance here. You are awash in emotion. And as necessary as it is to be in touch with your heart and honest and accommodating of your emotions: it is also important to be grounded and practical. Do you want to be clinging to a concrete throne in the middle of a changeable ocean, vulnerable to every inner and outer shift? Wouldn’t you rather be sat reclining on cushions beneath a shady terrace overlooking a landscaped garden bordered by a gentle stream?

The Magician shows us what the King of Cups has indicated, calling for the cultivation of more structure, order and balance. A master creator, his trick is in bringing all things together. Right now your focus is from the heart, on everything represented by the cups and water. You are doing what you love and what brings you joy because this is what you have been told will be successful. “Follow your heart,”, “do what lights you up,”, etc. But in order to succeed, to attract more clients, to build your business and community: you need to also include the other suits; the pentacles, wands and swords. Lay them all out on your table, use them equally, polish them all as tools. You don’t have to know it all intuitively or even do it all really well, you just need to acknowledge where there is an imbalance or a deficit and find someone who can help you or teach you what to do. The more you lean into the energy of balanced creation – a little bit of earth, a little bit of fire, a little bit of air and a little bit of water – the more you will start to see a return. For just as a garden needs soil, sunlight, fresh air and rain: so do all things we are looking to create.

The Four of Wands is the big reveal, showing us what lies ahead. This card represents balance and harmony, as well as celebration, union, community, family, homecoming, abundance, fortune and success. Essentially, everything we want to have and experience in life. This is a thumbs up card for what you are currently trying to grow, the universe signalling to you that it will happen if you follow the Magician’s advice. Bring together all your talents. Balance any deficits. Seek mentorship or tutelage where necessary. The four wands illustrate that we have grounded our desires and used our emotions to water and grow sturdy legs, creating a table upon which we have laid a rich spread. In addition, there is a shady canopy providing space and protection for your tribe to congregate beneath. This is one of the most positive cards in the tarot and one to be excited about. There is greatness in your future. It is within reach. Knowing this you have everything that is necessary to dream and do big.

What is blocking me right now? 🤹🏻‍♀️

It’s natural to experience blocks as we travel through life. Most of us will experience at least one block on any given day. It could be you wake up late, you sleep badly, your water is off and you can’t take a morning shower. It could be your car breaks down, your meeting is rescheduled, you have to cancel dinner to stay late at work. It could be your date doesn’t show up, your boyfriend wants to break up, your husband is unhappy and wants a separation. It could be you ruin your diet, avoid the gym, have an argument with someone close to you. It could be a minor health complaint, or a major one. It could be a PANDEMIC!!!

Blocks take many forms – some easy, some hard, some friendly, some antagonistic, some gentle, some fierce, some barely noticeable, some life altering… What is your biggest block today, and where are you currently getting stuck?

The Page of Wands is a positive and a happy card. The page is a student of life, an innocent child, a foolish (or carefree) adventurer. He has an idea, a desire, and he is unafraid of reaching and working towards it. He is strongly grounded in what he wants and led by his intuition. He is happy to experiment and play in order to get there. He is all about creativity and birthing things.

But is your new idea or project taking up too much space, to the detriment of everything else? Are you dropping the other balls and plates (that you are juggling and spinning) because of it? The thing that is blocking you here is not a bad thing. It’s simply the fact that it’s the only thing that’s getting your attention these days.

The Ten of Wands reinforces this message, showing us a man bent over under a heavy load, warning us that we are attempting to carry too much and are in danger of breaking. The Page is excited and enjoying the journey but he isn’t looking to the future. The Ten has a future image in front of him, mapping out his desire – nice house, good location, financial security, etc. – but he is working so hard to keep up and move forwards that he is missing out on his life in the moment, unable to see what it is all for. One is focussing only on the ‘right now’ to the detriment of the future, and the is other working so hard towards some future goal it’s become concealed in the distance.

Reevaluate all that you are carrying. Work out what you might need to put down or cast aside in order to accommodate more safely and securely the new thing you have picked up. You don’t need to pause or stop pursuing the new dream, you just need to reassess all of your responsibilities and delegate or retire some things.

What is the energetic cause of this lump in my throat? 🧣

Most of us have experienced discomfort in our throat at some point in our lives, whether as a result of swollen glands, a viral infection, an injury or an emotional response to external circumstances. And, perhaps, at these times, we have been more aware of what that impediment meant in relation to our voice and our airway and the importance of that channel within us.

As a rule, we don’t tend to question our voice and the ease with which we can communicate until something interferes with it. We simply take it for granted, not giving our airway – and breathing and staying alive as a result of that oxygen – much thought or energy until something threatens it.

In this reading I address what might be the energetic cause of your throat complaint, i.e. what external event or circumstance is contributing to it; for what is physical always has these emotional components attached.

In this reading, the Hierophant speaks of something that is stuck and which has become too strict and rigid. The image in the card is cold, austere and the man is unsmiling. He rules from a position of power with the church at his back. The men at his feet are his acolytes, they do not dare question him. At first glance, the two grey columns stand out, reminding me immediately of a throat. The Hierophant then presents as a block in this airway; so he is what is stuck and causing the lump.

Are you being dictated to or dominated?
Are there voices in your present or carried forward from you past that are silencing or controlling you?

This card suggests that something that is hiding under the guise of moral rightness is the cause of your ‘lump’. Perhaps that is the medical system if you have tried to find answers via doctors. Perhaps it is the doctrines of society if you have tried to shift, change, challenge or grow at work. Perhaps it is your cultural roots if you were raised within a certain a belief system or under a specific religious canopy. Figure out what might be obstructing you from not only speaking your truth but also living it.

If you are already using your voice to stand up for yourself, what about the voices inside? How do they speak to you and how much of what they say do you believe and take to heart? Something needs to be loosened and set free. There is too much rigidity and stricture. Try something different. Think outside the box. Be a little more eccentric.

The Three of Swords shows us how to remove this lump and how to heal it. The answer is in the wounds that we carry in our heart. For just as the card depicts a heart punctured by three separate steel swords: so our own heart has been stabbed by events and individuals. Healing, therefore, comes from a thorough examination of story and self and work on addressing and releasing the trauma.

Who do we need to forgive?
What chapters in our narrative do we need to return to in order to rewrite?
Where has our own opinion and our own beliefs been stoned and silenced?

Your throat may hurt but it is your heart that needs the healing and perhaps your throat is only blocked in response to trying to stem, silence and still that grief and that work.

Will this relationship last? ⛩

Relationships are tricky and complicated things. Whenever there is more than one person involved, there are more feelings, memories, wounds and past experiences to be taken into consideration in the union. And, if we or our partner, be they our actual partner or our desired partner, have traumas that have yet to be released, the landscape gets more muddled.

Hurt people hurt people. Lost people don’t know how to find themselves, let alone find and be there with you. Abandoned children aren’t very good at connecting and communicating. And that’s just the start.

This reading aims to help you to work out if this relationship is a keeper, and then, if you decide it is, offer up some guidance about how to keep it.

Make a tea.
Grab a blanket.

Get comfy.
Settle in for a slightly bumpy ride.

The Emperor presents to us a person who is aloof, unreachable almost. He sits upon his lofty throne in his far off, hard to reach, kingdom, protected by his armour and his minions. He is cold, hard and unmovable, stuck in his ways and fixed on his points. His opinions are like rock upon which your quiet voice is rebuked and silenced. This person is trapped in the past, fighting distant childhood battles only they are privy to. In the present they are distant, sad, shut off. The harder you try to reach them the harder they push back. Perhaps feelings of unworthiness are the issue? Beware of their anger, it is like a mighty fire that will try to consume you. Treat them with care like you would a wounded dog, for cornered they will likely bite. This is who they are right now, if nothing else changes. Their mind is fixated on their work and on empire building, it is them against the world, and you, my dear, are part of that world too.

In order to get close to them, you first have to find a way to lead them to heal. This work is not for the faint hearted.

The Knight of Pentacles offers some hope, for this is who this person can become if they take action. This will require looking directly at the things that scare them the most and the things they have spent their life trying to run from. It might well be triggering and release some pretty powerful emotions. And if you are standing too close you might well get hurt. But the way is clear. Instead of focusing on their own empire, working solely for themselves and their own gain, they need to step down and join the people, becoming part of a common goal. In service to a greater population, they will find a more righteous path and in doing so release and heal what they have long been carrying. The key is in turning their passion, their goal, their desired means of income and career, into one that can help many people. Essentially being of service. For in healing others we, in turn, find ways to heal ourselves.

What would ….. (insert mentor of choice) have to say about this? 🧘🏽‍♂️

This past week, or perhaps these past recent weeks, I’ve been questioning things more deeply, really trying to dissect the current narrative.

What is the real truth?

Who can we trust?

How can we know what to believe when there is so much conflicting information?

This feeling, these questions, will not leave my mind. They both haunt and irritate me. I’m fed up with being afraid and I’m frustrated with being manipulated. I’d really like the doubt and the anxiety to go away. My brain and my psyche are tired of having so very much to process and having to sacrifice my happy dream space each night.

🧘🏽‍♂️

This short reading is aimed at getting answers from a higher power, because I keep circling the question and continuously asking: “What would X, Y, Z… have to say?”

Like what would my grandmother, who has passed, wish to impart?

What would Gandhi think and how would he advise us?

How about Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, the previous Pope, the last Dali Lama, or Sylvia Plath, even…?

I’d be curious? I think a pandemic might have pushed all of them close to the edge.

🧘🏽‍♂️

Here, in this space (nestled safely within the vessel of today), we can ask, honing the question to our exact query, to the precise thing that is bothering or perplexing us, picturing that ‘person’ in our minds… and allowing the cards to attempt their reply.

The Page of Swords is fairly certain when he tells us to hit the books, for there is a need for further study. The only way to know what to think and how to act, is to educate yourself generously. So… More information. A broader source-bank. A higher vantage point. For only when you can see clearly can you attempt a rounded reply.

The Knight of Swords then stirs the pot, offering up the challenge to take it forwards, making that information, that truth, your grail. Like Jesus, Gandhi, Mandela, etc., take your word to the people. Make it known. Get it seen. Have it heard. Bring light and comfort to the meek by removing the web of lies.

And if that’s all a bit too much… well, at least you have a starting point and something to work towards and the freedom to temper it into whatever shape or form you want to fit your life.
